Threat to the ‘Zero Hunger’ Goal by 2030 UPSC
The United Nations’ goal to remove world hunger by 2030 seems to be increasingly difficult to achieve due to the effects of wars, climate change, and financial crises. Goal 2 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is all about creating a global free of hunger by 2030.
The 2024 Global Hunger Index score for the world is 18.3, with 42 nations nonetheless experiencing alarming or extreme hunger.
