Supreme Court ruling over State acquisition of Private Property UPSC

Recently, a 9-judge Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court of India ruled that the State can not take over private property entirely under the pretext of serving the ‘common good’. The concept of private property has been a cornerstone of prison and financial systems worldwide.
