Delta Airlines Pet Travel Policy

Small pets like dogs, cats, and household birds can travel in the cabin with you on Delta Airlines. Carrying your pet on board is a fee, which you can pay during check-in. Your pet must travel in a comfortable, soft-sided, well-ventilated pet kennel that fits under the seat in front of you. Your pet must be at least 8 weeks old to travel within the USA. When travelling to the United States from another country, your pet must be at least 16 weeks old, and to travel to the European Union they must be 15 weeks old. The kennel should be leak-proof with at least three sides having ventilation openings for domestic flights and four sides for international. Delta suggests a maximum kennel size of 18" x 11" x 11" to accommodate most aircraft.
